Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has mourned the demise of his personal shoemaker and young entrepreneur, Ojima Omale, better known as OJ Best.
Gatekeepers News reports that Osinbajo in a statement described Omale as “young enterprising shoemaker and friend… talented, creative and dedicated to his craft.”
He said: “I never ceased to be impressed by his exertions for perfection in his products.
“I and many members of my team, for whom he also made shoes, will miss him, his services and unfailing good humour
“Our thoughts are with his family as we pray that God will comfort them. May his memory remain blessed.”
OJBest went viral for making shoe designs for Osinbajo.
Osinbajo, in 2020, surprised OJ Best when he sent his aides to the shoe designer who said he would make footwears for the VP.
Osinbajo then bought a number of shoes from the entrepreneur.
He later invited the young entrepreneur to Aso Rock where OJ Best took his measurements for the footwears.
“I really cannot contain my joy in expressing this… this is a dream I never thought would happen,” he had written on Twitter after meeting the VP.
Asides from the Vice President, OJBest designed shoes, sandals for other prominent personalities including Sen. Dino Melaye, Don Jazzy and many other top politicians.
