Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases continues to rise as 35 new cases were recorded by the NCDC on Monday.
Gatekeepers News reports that the new cases are from 8 States according to Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
The NCDC noted that Rivers State reported the highest infections of the day with 14 new cases, followed by Imo (6), Lagos (4), FCT (3).
Others include; Kwara (3), Bayelsa (2), Plateau (2), Akwa Ibom (1).
Till date, 254,560 cases have been confirmed, 249,079 cases have been discharged and 3,142 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

A backlog of 1 confirmed & 23 discharged cases reported for Akwa Ibom state from 21st – 27th February 2022.
35 community discharges cases reported for FCT.
3 community discharges reported for Imo state.
4 states with zero cases reported: Abia, Kaduna, Kano and Sokoto.
