Academic Excellence Initiative (AEI) has announced its 2022 Scholars’ Day for Lagos-based secondary schools.
Gatekeepers News reports that the Annual AEI Scholars’ Day is in its sixth year, and has been applauded by prominent Nigerians like one-time Governor of Lagos State, late Lateef Jakande; soccer legend and founder of International Sports Academy Chief Olusegun Odegbami; and erstwhile Vice-Chancellor of the Lagos State University (LASU) Prof Olanrewaju Fagbohun.
In a statement signed by its Project Coordinator, Prince Adesegun Ogungbayi, obtained by this newspaper, AEI said the Scholars’ Day is “designed to identify and celebrate brilliant students while addressing contemporary educational challenges in the country”.
This year’s theme is ‘Bridging The Modern Learning Gap in Nigerian Schools’.
All secondary schools are encouraged to register for participation via https://sng.ng/aei.scholarsday. The deadline for the registration which is free, is March 15, 2022.
Participating schools are expected to produce five Senior Secondary School III (SSS3) students.
The overall winner will go home with a monetary prize of N300,000; the first runner-up, N200,000; and second runner-up will get N150,000, plus other amazing gifts.
