A woman identified as Maryam Bobbo, her husband and four children, are reportedly missing after the attack on the Abuja-Kaduna train.

Gatekeepers News reports that terrorists attacked the Abuja-Kaduna train on Monday evening, killed many passengers, injured dozens, and kidnapped many others.

Maryam and her family were said to be among the passengers on the train going to Kaduna.

”Maryam Bobbo, her husband & children still missing from what happened last night during the train attack may Allah SWT bring them back alive & healthy,” a Twitter user captioned Maryam’s family picture.

Gatekeepers News reports that Kabir Mohammed Adamu, the Managing Director of the Bank of Agriculture, was also reported missing.

Some family members of passengers of the ill-fated train stormed the Rigasa Railway station in Kaduna on Tuesday to express anxiety over the fate of their missing relatives.

Meanwhile, Kaduna State Government has confirmed that 398 passengers bought tickets for the trip, but 362 were validated as having boarded the train through the recognized turnstile, according to the passenger manifest from the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC).

The Government said “security agencies have reported that eight bodies were recovered and 26 persons were injured during the attack.

“Investigations are still ongoing to ascertain the status of the passengers who were onboard the train and remain unaccounted for at the time of this update. Search operations are also being sustained.”
