Stella Oduah Presents Bill Seeking Establishment Of Federal Medical Center Onitsha

The senator representing Anambra North at the National Assembly, Senator Stella Oduah says the public hearing of the bill seeking the establishment of a Federal Medical Center in Onitsha has been held on Monday.

Gatekeepers News reports that Oduah presented the bill on the floor of the Senate, earlier today.

According to her, “Among the numerous bills I’ve had the privilege of sponsoring, this particular one is truly dear to my heart as it would afford constituents of Anambra North the opportunity of accessing a world-class medical facility and personnel to attend to their various medical needs.”

During her presentation, Oduah stated that, “Not just that health is wealth, but he that doesn’t have health is almost dead and that is the quest my people have found themselves.

“It takes them almost four hours from the Riverine to Nnewi or Awka… if a man or a woman has to travel that long just to have access to healthcare, it’s as good as not having it.”
