Is There Any Law That Denies Idoma People Governorship Of Benue State? — 2Baba

Musical Icon, Innocent Idibia better known as 2Baba has expressed concerns over the alleged discrimination against Idoma people in Benue state politics.

Gatekeepers News reports that 2Baba in a post via his Instastory waded in on concerns about alleged political marginalisation of the Idoma people in the state.

He hails from Otukpo, one of the nine LGAs of Benue south senatorial district where the Idomas reside, argued in favour of his ethnic group.

He said keeping the governor’s seat out of the reach of the Idoma was “becoming ridiculous.”

“Abeg I want to know which law is there that says an Idoma man can’t be the governor of Benue. It’s becoming ridiculous,” the singer wrote.

The Idoma are the second largest group in Benue and occupy 9 LGA’s in total.

This include Ado, Agatu, Apa, Obi, Ohimini, Ogbadibo, Oju, Okpokwu and Otukpo.
