The National Executive Council of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has transferred its powers to the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party under the leadership of Senator Abdullahi Adamu for the next 90 days.
Gatekeepers News reports that the National Secretary of APC, Senator Iyiola Omisore told the gathering that Senate President Ahmed Lawan moved the motion and was seconded by Governor Nasir El-rufai.
The NWC will now, henceforth take decisions that might require the intervention of the NEC meeting.
President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abdullahi Adamu, Governors and other party chieftains attended the 11th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the party.
Also in attendance are Senate President, Senator Ahmed Lawan; his deputy Senator Ovie Omo- Agege; Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila; his deputy, Hon. Idris Ahmed Wase and members of the National Working Committee (NWC).
