There was a fire outbreak at the Makurdi branch of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in Benue State.
Gatekeepers News reports that the cause of the fire could not be ascertained immediately which started at about 7 am. The fire was quickly put off by men of the Federal Fire Service.
Benue State Police Command has confirmed the incident.
Sewuese Anene, the spokesperson of the command, said police officers have been deployed to the scene of the incident to carry out their primary responsibility of securing the bank against any form of breach.
