Singer Rihanna has announced plans to launch her Fenty skincare brands in some African countries, including Nigeria.

Gatekeepers News reports that the 36-year-old Grammy award winner said the brands to be launched are Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin.

Rihana announced the development via her Instagram page on Tuesday. The skincare brands will be available in Nigeria, Kenya, Namibia, Botswana, Ghana, Zambia and Zimbabwe from May 27, according to the fashion mogul.

The singer, in the post, said she has been working hard with her team to make the brands available in Africa.

“The wait is finally over!!!! AFRICA, we’re pulling up! Who’s ready?!,” she wrote.

“We’ve been working hard to make this happen! We’ll be available in Nigeria, Kenya, Namibia, Botswana, Ghana, Zambia and Zimbabwe local retailers starting MAY 27!”

The announcement comes a few weeks after the Barbadian singer was honoured with a marble statue at the 2022 Met Gala.

Gatekeepers News reports that Rihanna launched Fenty Beauty, a cosmetics brand, on September 8, 2017. The brand is popular for its broad inclusivity across skin tones and gender, especially its Pro Filt’R foundation. It was named one of Time magazine’s best inventions of 2017.

According to the Fenty Beauty website, the products are already on shelves in Sephora locations across the United States, Canada, Mexico, France, Spain, Denmark, Sweden, Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, Singapore, and the Middle East, as well as online for shipping to more than 150 countries.
