Nigerian comedian and actor, Ayodeji Richard Makun, popularly known as AY, has opened up on his rumoured rift with his colleague, Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth.
Gatekeepers News reports that AY confirmed the rift during an interactive session on Instagram after fans asked him to address his rumoured beef with Basketmouth.
A fan asked; “Do you really have any issues with Basketmouth?”
AY responded by saying, “I don’t have issues with Basketmouth. But people having unnecessary issues with you are the price you sometimes pay for being progressive.”
“He has been battling with an uncontrollable superiority complex for the longest. So, avoiding his incessant childishness only became necessary for my own sanity.”
When further asked if both of them don’t talk to each other, AY replied, “we only talk to those who want to talk to us. Does this make sense?”
Meanwhile, Basketmouth is yet to react to AY’s comment as of the time of this report. Although in August 2021, he also opened up about his alleged rift with AY, saying “he messed with loyalty”.
