The newly elected Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) Governorship Candidate in Borno State,  Alhaji Mohammed Ali Jajari has expressed optimism that he is confident of becoming the next governor of the state ahead of the 2023 election, a position that has eluded his party since the return of democracy in 1999.

Gatekeepers News reports that Jajari also stated that he is ready to change the policy direction of the state that will be centred on job opportunities for all segments of the society, assuring that one of his priorities will be to return all sacked workers back to work if elected as governor.

The 42-year-old investment Banker and an expert in the extractive industry (Oil and Gas ) revealed that his party is more United and that the infighting and selfishness that had been the bane of the party’s victory in previous elections is no longer in existence.

Jajari made the disclosure while speaking to journalists in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital where he promised to lunch massive infrastructural development and urge all citizens to brace up for positive change.

According to the Governorship candidate, “we will award contracts to reputable companies that can deliver quality projects to the people of Borno State.

“I’m hopeful of becoming the next Governor of Borno State and defeating Incumbent Governor Babagana Zulum will be one of the easiest things for me to do,” Jajari boasted.

The PDP Governorship Candidate also uses the medium to clear the air on his alleged family ties with the wife of the state Governor, Dr Falmalta Zulum.

“That information is false and misleading, I don’t have any family relationship with the wife of the Governor nor any member of his family,” Jajari said.
