‘Campaign Without Misleading The Public’ – Soludo Debunks Peter Obi’s $20m Anambra Investment Attributed To Him

Soludo Condemns Attack On Ifeanyi Ubah’s Convoy
Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo has distanced himself from a viral claim attributed to him that a purported investment of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP), in the state has yielded $100million.

Gatekeepers News reports that there were posts on social media in May claiming that Soludo said Obi invested $20 million in SABMiller Plc, now AB InBev, on behalf of the state and that the investment is now worth $100 million.

Recently, a Facebook page which belongs to “Lamentations of a Bishop” stated that: “Mr. Peter Obi’s $20 million investment in Anambra worth $100 million today ~ Charles Chukwuma Soludo.”

The poster did not reveal the source of the information which garnered over 200 comments and was circulated by many followers.

Commenting on the post, Soludo maintained that he never made such a statement.

“Where did you read or hear me make such false statement? This fake news has been roundly debunked by my team. We can always carry on with campaigning for our preferred candidates without consciously misleading the reading public. This report is false and never emanated from me. Thank you,” the governor wrote.
