Funke Akindele Gets Oscars Invite

Multi-talented actress, Funke Akindele-Bello, has been invited to join the Academy of Motion Pictures Art and Science, otherwise known as Oscars membership class of 2022.

Gatekeepers News reports that the actress took to her Instagram story to celebrate the milestone on Friday.

She was listed among the 397 artists and executives invited by the organisation for its membership selection.

This landmark comes in the midst of the collapse of her marriage to her husband, Abdulrasheed Bello, aka JJC Skillz.

Despite the mixed reaction this has generated, the actress has decided to keep mum on the issue.

JJC Skillz, while announcing the crash of their six-year-old, wrote, “We still have issues that need to be addressed such as the custody and wellbeing of our children which is paramount as well as business interests which need to be disentangled but I have no doubt that these will be resolved one way or the other.”
