Police have arrested another inmate who escaped during the jailbreak at the Kuje correctional centre in Abuja.
Gatekeepers News reports that the Niger Police Command said it recaptured Kazeem Murtala during surveillance by a patrol team.
In a statement, the Command’s Spokesman, Wasiu Abiodun said the inmate was recaptured between the General Hospital, Suleja, and Bakassi on July 9 at 8:30pm.

In reaction to the development, Niger commissioner of police, Monday Kuryas, commended the efforts of the patrol team.
Kuryas directed that the inmate should be handed back to the custodial centre.
He urged residents to continue to support the police with reliable information that could aid in apprehending other suspected criminals and to combat crime and criminality in the state.
