Gatekeepers News reports that the Osun Police Command said efforts to apprehend her are ongoing.
On Wednesday, reports surfaced that the lady was on the run after allegedly setting her husband on fire over “infidelity”.
Other reports claimed that the suspect committed suicide in Osogbo, the state capital, where the incident occurred.
Sources alleged she left an angry note on her WhatsApp status, saying her man had pushed her “to the edge”.
The suspect wrote on WhatsApp, “I’ve always been a calm girl and I’ve never done this in my life but Teebam has pushed me to the edge.
“At this point, y’all will weep over myself and him before daybreak. I’m promising y’all that!!!”
According to reports, the man who lives in Cairo was on a visit to his home in Nigeria before the arson that killed him.
Osun Police PRO, Yemisi Opalola while confirming the incident, said it occurred on July 17 at about 11:30 pm at their home in Koka community, Ibokun LGA of the State.
Opalola said the victim was rushed to the Osogbo Central Hospital and was later referred to UCH Ibadan.
The PRO further revealed that Bamidele passed away on Tuesday at about 4 pm.
Opalola, however, denied claims that the culprit committed suicide after the incident.
A photo of Bamidele seen online showed the victim naked on the hospital bed with severe burns.
“Effort is in top gear to arrest the fleeing wife,” the Osun police spokesperson added.
