Gatekeepers News earlier reported that 14 out of 17 National Working Committee members of the PDP voted for Wike as the party’s vice presidential candidate.
Yet, Atiku ignored this and announced Okowa as his running mate.
Meanwhile, aside from the NWC votes, Wike had the highest votes in the PDP presidential primary, which saw Atiku elected as the party’s flag bearer.
Many assumed that Wike would have emerged as the party’s Vice Presidential candidate. However, the former Vice President explained that Okowa had the qualities to be a President, adding that he “is a President-in-waiting.”
On Saturday, Wike, through his official Twitter handle, threatened to “speak” on “all that has transpired in the PDP in recent times.
