Auchi born Madam Fatima Dankano has been elected as the President of United States of America based organisation, Afemai World Congress.
Gatekeepers News reports that the organisation is the umbrella body representing various Afemai unions in US.
The election took place during the delegate conference last night with over 20 affiliated unions represented at the event.
With this victory, Dankano would be the first female President of the organisation.
Dankano is a Registered Nurse and Business Woman from Auchi.
Dankano was the Vice President until she was elected President.
She will succeed the outgoing President, Dr. David lyalomhe, a Los Angeles based Attorney at Law from Ayua-Uzairue in Etsako West LGA.
Mrs Stella Ejedawe also a Los Angeles based Realtor from Auchi was the first lnterim Chairman of AWC.
Previous leaders in the saddle are Dr. Osilama Osime, a Medical Doctor based in Boston from Uwanno Kingdom in Etsako East, Dr. Tony Akande, a Pharmacist and Businessman based in Detroit Michigan from lgarra, Akoko Edo and Dr. John Emale, Businessman and President of a Logistics outfit in Dallas-Texas from lviukhua community in Uwanno Kingdom, Etsako East LGA.
