Job Title: Business Manager
Locations: Gombe and Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time
Roles and Responsibilities
- Identity leads from multiple sources, get contact information, establish, connect through mail and phone.
- Follow up on the leads and ensure closures of those leads.
- Maintain an active new business prospect listing to approach and present to the company.
- Develop financial supporting data and process data for potential and existing business wins.
- Responsible for maintaining the existing customer database through regular sales visits.
- Keeping a track of competitor analysis by conducting regular market research on a periodical basis.
- Maintain close working relationships with the Customer Service, Operations and the entire Logistics team for efficient service delivery.
- Focus on winning and keeping a profitable business.
- Develop and maintain Cappex procedures as per policy for RFQ and new business submissions.
- Represents the company and its policies to the clients which are defined as “Strategic Accounts”.
Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience preferably in a Business Development/Management role
- Experience meeting revenue, profit and growth targets
- Excellent written and good communication skills are required.
- Diplomatic skills to be used in front of the customers.
- Confidence in undertaking presentations to a vast number of people.
- Analytic skills to review both financial and operational data.
- Proven negotiation skills with the ability to close business wins.
- Able to use MS office, PowerPoint, Excel and some other PC applications.
- Good understanding of financial planning.
- Excellent reporting abilities.
