Enyimba, Insurance Jostle For Gateway Skipper, Oronsaye By Raymond Nwaduba
Two-time CAF champions league winners, Enyimba Int’l of Aba and newly promoted Bendel Insurance of Benin, we are told, are in hot pursuit of inform Gateway FC of Abeokuta captain, Oronsaye James’ signature for the upcoming 2022/2023 NPFL season.
Oronsaye, who was in blistering form last season for Gateway, scoring one of the best goal of the season, we scooped has been on the radar of both the ‘Peoples Elephant’, Enyimba and ‘Benin Arsenal’ Bendel Insurance, for a long time now, which both sides are doing everything possible now to outdo each other in a possible transfer switch of the player to their club.
Although, details of the deal are still very sketchy, but our impeccable source, who pleaded anonymity, assured us that he doesn’t see Oronsaye being in Gateway next season.
“Enyimba and Insurance are seriously interested in signing Gateway captain, James Oronsa ye.

Enyimba are looking for replacements for some of their key players who exited the club after the season, which the versatile young Oronsaye seem to be a perfect fit for one of their departed midfield star, Austin Oladapo.
Meanwhile, Bendel Insurance are looking to beef up their squad ahead of the new campaign after gaining promotion from the NNL last season.
Oronsaye featured 22 times for Gateway last season and scored 5 goals with many assists to his credit.
