Nigerian Lawmaker Slumps And Dies In South Africa
Nnamdi Okafor, a member of the Anambra State House of Assembly, has slumped and died in South Africa.

Gatekeepers News reports that Okafor, who represents Awka South State constituency 1, is also the majority leader of the State Assembly.

The two-time lawmaker was said to be in South Africa with other Assembly members who were in that country for a programme.

The Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo has confirmed the report.

Soludo, who spoke through his Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, said the Speaker of the House, Uche Okafor, confirmed the incident to him.

“It has been confirmed that he died in South Africa. He reportedly slumped and was later confirmed dead. I spoke with the Speaker and he confirmed it to be so”, Aburime said.
