National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has held a marathon meeting at the campaign office of the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in Abuja.
Gatekeepers News reports that the meeting held behind closed doors for hours.
The meeting also had Tinubu’s running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima; National Vice Chairman for South-West, Isaac Kekemeke; National Youth Leader, Dayo Israel; Deputy National Chairman for North, Senator Abubakar Kyari, and other notable NWC members in attendance.
The development came two months after the delegation paid a congratulatory visit to Tinubu barely 48 hours after he won the APC presidential primary on June 7.
Sources said the need to resolve internal wrangling among his former co-aspirants and aggrieved party chieftains over the contentious Muslim-Muslim ticket was top of the agenda at the meeting.
Tinubu had been courting Wike through proxies over his 2023 presidential ambition but he met personally with the the Rivers State governor in London on Monday.
