Osayomwanbor Nosa-Odia Bags Arewa Youth Award For Icon Of Peace/Nation Building

Osayomwanbor Nosa-Odia, the President of Auchi Polytechnic Alumni Association, Benin Chapter, has bagged the Arewa Youth Council 2022 Award of Excellence for Icon of Peace/Nation Building.

Gatekeepers News reports that Osayomwanbor received the SIR AHMADU BELLO PLATINUM LEADERSHIP AWARD for Youth Icon of Peace/Nation Building in Edo State and beyond on Saturday at the National Merit House in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

Speaking with reporters after receiving the award, Osayomwanbor who noted that the award will motivate him to do more for his people and Nigeria in general, reiterated his call for peace.

“I believe Nigeria is a country that was destined by God as one nation. I don’t believe in the divisibility and divisional antics of politicians in this country.  As a young man, I have been advocating that (for peace) from Sokoto to Calabar, from Maiduguri to Ogbomoso, and from Benin to Jigawa. We are all one and we must stand as one country so that Africans will be proud of this black nation, Nigeria.”

Osayomwanbor admitted that his nomination for the Peace/Nation Building award came as a surprise, saying everything he has done so far was for humanity.

“Let’s preach peace, let’s preach Nigeria in our Churches, Mosques, in our family and anywhere we find ourselves,” he appealed.

Asked about his take on the forthcoming 2023 general election, he said: “Naturally, before an election, you must hear statements that may not give people hope” as he expressed optimism that the election is going to be peaceful.

He further urged Nigerians to vote their conscience and shouldn’t let their decision be influenced by religion.
