Governor of Rivers State, South-South Nigeria, Nyesom Wike says he would increase the recently-appointed special assistants from 50,000 to 100,000.
Gatekeepers News reports that Wike disclosed this during a Media chat at the state government house in Port Harcourt.
The governor has so far appointed 50,000 assistant saying the appointments take immediate effect.
Wike, however, still did not specify what the job of the various advisers.
Wike had, on Wednesday, approved the appointment of 28,000 persons as special assistants for polling units in the state.
The governor also approved the sum of N1 billion as an emergency relief measure to support flood victims in the state.
On Tuesday, the Rivers governor appointed 14,000 advisers for various political units in the state.
