Lagos State Government has begun an investigation into the unethical filming of late ex-Big Brother Naija housemate, Rico Swavey by nurses in the hospital he was rushed to after a ghastly accident on Wednesday.
Gatekeepers News reports that Rico, whose real name is Patrick Fakoya, died on Thursday.
However, a video filmed by one of the nurses on duty as Rico battled for life has gone viral and received condemnation among Nigerians who are calling for a probe into the negligence of the health officials.
In the viral video, Rico had been placed on oxygen, was seen on a chair and the nurses can be heard chatting while one of them called for assistance to lift the dying reality star onto the bed.
“You people should stop making the video. Somebody is dying, you people are making video”, the nurse scolded her colleagues.
Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, announced that the authorities had commenced an investigation.
“That hospital is not a government hospital; we have started an investigation into the unprofessional conducts of those who appeared in that video,” Omotoso said.
