Gatekeepers News reports that Ihedioha while alleging the letter was from Governor Hope Uzodinma and his cohorts, described it as blackmail.
Ihedioha in a statement signed by his Spokesman, Prince Ebube Mbah said, “This is part of the ongoing orchestrated campaign of calumny, sponsored against my principal, by the state government.”
The statement read in part, “I wish to alert the public of and indeed state categorically that His Excellency Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha neither authored such letter nor knows about it.
“The fake letter, which was printed in a forged letterhead also had His Excellency’s signature, cloned to the fake letter.”
Mbah further alleged that “the Director of Hope Uzodinma Media Center, Mr. Paul Ezeafurukwe, on the instruction of his principal, took to his Facebook handle to accuse my principal and Imo PDP of syndicating a fake News against Hope Uzodinma.
“As at this moment, they are yet to provide evidence to their false allegation against His Excellency. This NEW LOW is targeted at causing avoidable provocation in the polity.”
He added, “I wish to also remind Gov Uzodinma and his cohorts that power is transient. He who goes to equity must do so with clean hands.”
