The Assistant spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Campaign Council, Ajuri Ngelale has revealed that the Vice President has directed all his staff to work for the party’s candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Gatekeepers News reports that Ajuri disclosed this in a tweet on his official Twitter page.
He tweeted, “It must be noted that in a meeting today, H.E. VP @ProfOsinbajo has encouraged all OVP staff — who were privileged to be appointed into the @officialABAT 2023 Presidential Campaign Council — to give their best to the important effort without hindrance. Kindly ignore contrary 🗣.”
There have been rumours that Osinbajo isn’t interested in working for Tinubu’s victory during the 2023 general elections having lost to him at the Primaries.
He polled 1,271 votes to defeat 13 other presidential hopefuls in the election.
Rotimi Amaechi, former minister of transportation and top contender, polled 316 votes while Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo got 235 votes.
Tinubu will be squaring off against Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP); Peter Obi of Labour Party, and other candidates in the 2023 presidential election.
