WAEC Speaks On Fire And Safety Of Records
Management of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has confirmed the fire that broke out in the early hours of today, Wednesday at its in Yaba, Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria.

Gatekeepers News reports that the Examinations Council in a statement signed by Moyosola Adesina, Head of the Public Affairs Department, noted that no life was lost in the incident as the inferno was quickly extinguished by firefighters.

WAEC also assured that all important documents and records remain intact.

The statement reads: “The Management of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), wishes to inform the general public that there was an early morning fire incident at the WAEC National Office, Yaba, Lagos. It was swiftly contained by a combined team of fire fighters.

“Thankfully, no life was lost and all important documents and records are intact.”
