Peter Obi Disowns Labour Party Manifesto In Circulation

Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has distanced himself from his party’s manifesto that is currently in circulation.

Gatekeepers News reports that the former Governor of Anambra State issued the clarification on Monday in a post on his official Twitter handle, saying the LP’s manifesto is still under review.

Obi noted that the manifesto in circulation is a draft copy which made its way to the public space.

Obi said he will personally release the LP manifesto to the public when it is ready.

“We have not formally released our Manifesto. I will do so personally. It seems an earlier draft copy under review has made its way into the public space. Until I release the approved and final draft, please disregard what is being circulated,” the tweet reads.

Gatekeepers News reports that the All Progressives Congress (APC) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) standard bearers recently released their respective manifestos titled ‘Renewed Hope 2023 – Action Plan for a Better Nigeria’ and ‘My Covenant with Nigerians’.
