Nigeria has become the first in Africa and second in the world as Kogi State installs a Signa prime 1.5T MRI Scanner in Okene Reference Hospital in a bid to solve the problem of medical tourism abroad.
Gatekeepers News reports that the Kogi State Government, under the leadership of Yahaya Bello, has also completed the installation of a newly built and functioning Medical Oxygen Production Plant which was a test run for 40hours non-stop earlier this week with the capacity to produce liquid and gaseous oxygen and nitrogen.
This signa prime MRI scanner installed in Kogi hospital by GE (General Electric), an American company and a renowned world healthcare equipment and machine manufacturer, is the second in the world and first in Africa as it is the latest innovation of the company.
