Edo Train Attack: Efforts Are Being Made To Rescue Kidnapped Passengers– FG

Federal Government of Nigeria has condemned the kidnapping of passengers at the Train Station in Igueben, Edo State, South-South Nigeria and says the Police are on the trail of the attackers.

Gatekeepers News reports that this was disclosed in a statement by the Director, Press and Public Relations of the Transport Ministry, Henshaw Ogubike in Abuja.

The statement read, ”The public is hereby reassured that the security agencies are making efforts to rescue the kidnapped train passengers. The Nigerian Police are on the trail of the criminals and have mobilized with a view to protecting the lives and property of the remaining passengers.”

“The government is saddened by this unpleasant development and assures citizens on its prompt response to the ugly situation.”

“Further details will be communicated later.”
