VIDEO: Onitsha Main Market Traders Boo Willie Obiano’s Wife During Senatorial Campaign

Traders at Onitsha Main Market expressed their dissatisfaction with the presence of the former Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, and his wife, Ebelechukwu Obiano during Mrs Obiano’s Senatorial Campaign in Anambra, South East, Nigeria.

Gatekeepers News reports that the former Governor, Obiano took the mic to address the traders who looked on without excitement, booing and chanting against him and his wife.

Mrs. Obiano is the Senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA political party in Anambra North and was the first former First Lady of the state.

Mrs. Obiano was also in the middle of the chants from the traders at Onitsha market who didn’t hide their stance of disapproval of the Senatorial candidate.

The couple, joined by some other party members who waved their flags as they spoke, left the scene of the mockery as it turned chaotic.

The Onitsha Main Market is considered to be one of the most important centres of interest in Anambra politics as it is one of the biggest markets in West Africa.

Ebele Obiano faces other strong contenders, including sitting Senator Stella Oduah, in the February 25th election.

Oduah, who had defied the odds to pick the candidacy of the PDP, has, from early indications, cornered the support of many Anambra North constituents as she seeks re-election.
