Nigerian Security Printing and Minting (NSPM) Plc has stressed its capability to continuously produce the redesigned new naira notes
Gatekeepers News reports that its Managing Director, Ahmed Halilu made this known in a statement he signed on Saturday.
Some publications (not Gatekeepers News) had allegedly credited to the Central Bank Governor about the capacity of NSPMC to continue the production of redesigned banknotes owing to supply chain constraints.
NSPMC noted that “contrary to the mischievous claim, De-la-Rue of United Kingdom does not produce nor supply poper substrate within the currency industry.”
It therefore assured Nigerians that NSPMC has made adequate arrangement to continuously produce redesigned Banknotes as well as other denominations in line with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) indent for the your 2023.
Gatekeepers News had earlier reported that the CBN has debunked report that the its Governor, Godwin Emefiele attributed the current challenge in the distribution of the newly redesigned Naira banknotes to a shortage of printing materials at the Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Company Plc.
