Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, has released an amended timetable for schools’ midterm break.
Gatekeepers News reports that the development was contained in a letter signed by the Director of Department of Quality Assurance (DQA), Education Secretariat, Uzoanya M.E on Friday.
According to the letter addressed to all schools below the tertiary level, the midterm break is now rescheduled between Wednesday, 22nd February to Monday, 27th February, 2023.
It reads: “I am directed to convey the approval of the Mandate Secretary for Education for midterm break for all the schools below tertiary levels in the FCT between Wednesday, 22nd February to Monday, 27th February, 2023.”
Gatekeepers News reports that the development comes amid the unrest caused by the rejection of old naira notes in some parts of the country and the forthcoming general elections.
