Lagos State Government has debunked reports that a fire got the Blue Line Rail on Tuesday.
Gatekeepers News reports that some media outlets (Gatekeepers News not included) earlier reported that a section of the newly-inaugurated Blue Rail Mass Transit project at Marina, was gutted by fire.
The report brought about speculations that the fire might have been a sabotage.
However, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on New Media, Jubril Gawat has made a clarification on via his Twitter page.
He explained that it was a diesel truck that caught fire near the Blue Line Rail.
“Our men of the Lagos Fire Service @LagosRescue & others contained it properly.
“Fire cleared up since 1:30 pm today. No casualty. Rail Line not affected,” Gawat tweeted.
Gawat also posted a video of Fire Service officers putting off the fire.
