Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi has defeated Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to win the election in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Gatekeepers News reports that Obi Obi defeated Tinubu after the summation of all six area councils in the FCT, while Atiku came a distant third.
Obi secured victory in four area councils to win the presidential election in the FCT with a 190,815 votes margin while Tinubu won in two.
Tinubu got 90,902 votes, while Atiku got 74,199 and Rabiu Kwankwaso of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) got 13,247.
The total registered voters were 1,526,902; accredited voters were 478,923; while total valid votes were 460,071.
18,581 votes were rejected, while 478,652 votes were cast.
