Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose has congratulated Nigeria’s President-elect, Bola Tinubu on his victory.
Gatekeepers News reports that Fayose sent his congratulatory message via his official Twitter handle.
He further urged Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other presidential candidates to accept the outcome of the election.
Fayose wrote, “I congratulate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on his election as the next President of Nigeria. As the presidential election comes to an end, I urge other contestants, especially Atiku Abubakar to accept the outcome in the overall interest of our country. There will always be another day.”

Before, the declaration of Tinubu as president-elect, Fayose had asked Atiku to “accept defeat in maturity and retire peacefully to Dubai.”
Fayose is one of the members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who has insisted on the resignation of the party’s National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.
