‘Accept Tinubu’s Olive Branch’ Ambassador Mumuni Tells Opposition – Congratulates President-elect

Former governorship aspirant in Lagos State, Ambassador Abayomi Nurain Mumuni has congratulated Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his victory at the just concluded polls that saw his emergence as President-elect of Nigeria, Africa’s most populous country.

Gatekeepers News reports that Mumini made this disclosure in a statement signed by his Media Aide, Rasheed Abubakar.

Mumuni, a member of the Security and Intelligence Committee of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, PCC described Asiwaju’s victory as hard-earned and well-deserved.

According to him, “It has been a long, tortuous journey for him. His battle to the presidency could be likened to the memorable 1974 fight between Mohammed Ali and Joe Frazier. Very tough and intriguing. It’s humbling that it ended very well.”

The 2011 gubernatorial candidate of the defunct Congress for Progressives Change (CPC) in Lagos State expressed satisfaction that he was part of Asiwaju’s success story, noting he has confidence that Tinubu would drive shared prosperity and development in Nigeria.

“Asiwaju is my very close uncle. His victory is very personal to me because we are always on a good rapport. I can attest to his vision, good leadership, listening and management skills. He will contribute meaningfully to the development of our nation. He will also drive shared prosperity and turn around the fortunes of Nigeria. He has shown the capacity in building Lagos State and making it a cynosure.

The renowned international author and security expert urged opposition candidates to accept the olive branch the president-elect is extending to them and work with him as “The Asiwaju I know runs an open door policy. Nigerians should also support him in his mission to renew their hope and consolidate on the good legacies of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.”
