Sanwo-Olu Donates N100m To Traders Of Akere Market After Fire Incident

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria, on Wednesday, announced the donation of N100 million to traders whose goods were burnt in Akere Motor Parts and Allied Dealers Association, AMPADA, in Ajegunle, Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Council of the state.

Gatekeepers News reports that Sanwo-Olu who is seeking re-election, announced the donation when he led a delegation on Wednesday, during the assessment of the site.

He said the measure was part of efforts to help alleviate the plight of the victims who lost goods and cash in the fire.

Sanwo-Olu also laid the foundation for a new two-story market building in Akere.

Gatekeepers News reports that a fire gutted the spare part market last week and destroyed goods worth millions of naira.
