Plateau Speaker Loses Seat To PDP
Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Yakubu Yakson Sanda, has lost his constituency seat in the just-concluded election held on Saturday, March 18.

Gatekeepers News reports that Sanda was floored by the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Happiness Matthew Akawu.

Akawu scored 9,926 votes to defeat her closest rival, Rt. Hon. Sanda of the All Progressives Congress (APC), scored 7,936 votes.

Hon. Faisal Haruna Maitala of the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) scored 6,721 votes while Hon. Dankama of the Labour Party (LP) scored 1,028 votes.
