Job Description:
- Ensure adequate and timely stock accounting records are maintained for stock receipts and issuance including inter-location transfers at all times;
- Define minimum stock level and reorder quantity taking the lead time of each item into consideration. Ensure this is regularly updated in line with site production / material consumption in order to achieve project satisfaction;
- Promote good house-keeping practices in the warehouse – Label and identify every class of inventory
- Develop and implement material requirement planning techniques at the site based on project demands;
- Develop, document and implement best practice inventory control and management processes at the site in accordance with MTCC policy.
- Ensuring correctness in the quality, quantity, specifications, and condition of material received from vendors and other locations;
- Ensure the rule of First-in-first-out is complied with across all inventory transactions;
- Item and general ledger reconciliation;
- Ensure warehouse layout is optimally utilized by constantly reviewing layout, space utilization and materials;
- Ensure that the health and safety of site store meet the required standards and that risk assessments are carried out;
- Ensure regular stock count exercises are performed and all discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner; and
- Perform other stock-related duties, including returning, packing and labelling supplies.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or a related field from a reputable institution.
- At least 5 years experience in Store-Keeping, Inventory, or a similar position.
- Good knowledge of proper bookkeeping and inventory management.
- Familiarity with Standard Concepts and best practices in a warehouse environment.
- Analytical mind with the ability to make accurate mathematical computations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Competencies in data entry, analysis, and management with the company’s ERP software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Keen attention to detail and ability to effectively manage time.
