Rampant Arsenal Walk Over Chelsea – Regain EPL Top Spot

Arsenal got back to winning ways on Tuesday, thrashing Chelsea 3-1 to overtake Manchester City at the top of the English Premier League.

Gatekeepers News reports that Arsenal have been without a win in their last four league matches, drawing three and losing 4-1 to City.

The Gunners’ stay at the top may be temporary as City have two outstanding games to play.

Arsenal opened scoring on 18 minutes through Martin Odegaard after receiving a precise pass and tried his luck with a shot from mid range. The ball glanced off the crossbar and behind the surprised goalkeeper.

Ben Chilwell wasted an opportunity to have equalised for Chelsea on 25 minutes. He created some space for himself inside the penalty box and unleashed a decent strike towards the right side of the goal, but Aaron Ramsdale made an astonishing save to thwart him.

The Gunners made it 2-0 in 31 minutes. It was Odegaard again with a wonderful piece of finishing for his brace. He made a yard for himself after a well-taken pass inside the box and nets inside the right post.

Gabriel Jesus made it 3-0 three minutes later, firing the rebound into the bottom left corner after the ball broke to him in the box.

Chelsea pulled one goal back on 65 minutes. Noni Madueke found the back of the net and got on the scoresheet.
