Bashir El-Rufai, the son of the Kaduna state governor, has mocked Rapper Folarin Falana known as Falz for travelling to the United Kingdom for knee surgery.
Gatekeepers News reports that on Wednesday, Falz disclosed that he sustained an injury on his anterior cruciate ligament while playing football in November 2022.
The rapper added that he underwent surgery on May 2, 2023, at a medical facility in London.
Reacting to Falz’s disclosure via his Twitter handle on Thursday, Bashir said he expected the singer to have had his surgery in a Nigerian hospital.
He added that he was “disappointed” Falz did not go to the Lagos State Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) as a “bona-fide human rights activist”.
“UK? He didn’t go to LASUTH as a bona-fide human rights activist? Disappointing,” he wrote.
