Nigerian-American, Oguchi Onyewu had been named first vice president of Sporting for U.S. Soccer Federation.
Gatekeepers News reports that Onyewu announced this on his LinkedIn account.
The American, born to Nigerian parents, noted that he will continue to push the growth of the game in America through his new role.
He wrote, “I am certain of amazing things ahead for our teams and communities.”
