Inauguration: 'It Was A Privilege To Lead US Delegation To Nigeria’ - US Home Secretary
United States Secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Marcia Fudge has said the US is dedicated to supporting a healthy Nigeria.

Gatekeepers News reports that Marcia who led US delegation to the inauguration ceremony of Bola Tinubu as President of Nigeria, stated this in a video on Monday.

She said that Biden “looks forward to working with the Tinubu-administration to strengthen US-Nigeria relationship and advance shared priorities. Those include promoting economic growth, increasing trade and investment, supporting democractic institutions, advancing human rights, countering terrorism and insecurity, and tackling climate change.”

She noted that Nigeria is Africa’s largest economy and democracy, “its most populous country and home to it’s largest city, Lagos,” and as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, “I look forward to engaging with our Nigeria partners on urbanization efforts.”

She further thanked Nigeria for welcoming her and the entire Presidential delegation to the inauguration ceremony.
