Flying Eagles winger Ibrahim Muhammad has dedicated his perfect strike against Argentina President Bola Tinubu.
Gatekeepers News reports that Muhammad opened scoring for Nigeria in the 2-0 win against hosts Argentina on Wednesday night.
It was his first goal at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Muhammad in a post-match interview, said, “I dedicate my goal to our new president, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, and I really appreciate my teammates for their efforts to win.
The player also reflected on the victory against the host nation, who were overwhelming favourites to win the Round of 16 contest.
He said, “No, that was not on my mind. We were comfortable, my teammate and I, and that’s football.”
