Kwara-based online newspaper, The City Gazette has announced that it would organise a workshop training for some selected students of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin.
Gatekeepers News reports that the announcement was contained in a press release signed by the Publisher of the Medium, Ibrahim Mohammed Gambari on Thursday, May 25, 2023.
Gambari said the workshop titled: “The Impacts of Digitisation in Modern Journalism” is aimed at educating students on how Journalism has evolved in the face of changing digital landscape.
The young publisher stated that it would keep members of the public abreast of the timing of the programme, venue and mode of selection of the intending participants in due time.
He also furthered that The City Gazette’s decision to hold the upcoming training is informed by the need to give back to the society and educate students of higher institution on how digitisation has affected the journalism profession.
