Nollywood actress Kemi Afolabi has reached out to the public for assistance as she finds herself in a challenging situation with GT Bank.
Gatekeepers News reports that Afolabi revealed that following her return from a pilgrimage to Mecca, she had mistakenly transferred the sum of N510,000 to a customer’s account in the same bank in April and has not gotten a refund from the bank
On her Instagram page, she posted:
“I mistakenly transferred the sum of five hundred and ten thousand naira to a customer’s account! We both use the same bank. Since April 1st, 2023. Eyin fans mi e ma gba mi keh. My tired is exhausted honestly!”
Expressing her growing impatience and weariness, the actress directed her appeal directly at her bank, urging them to take appropriate action.
“Help tag @gtbank, it’s been over 3 months! They held on to my five hundred and ten thousand naira. I have been patient, I am exhausted. @gtbank @centralbankng kindly do the needful.”
In response to Afolabi’s plea for assistance, her fans and colleagues shared words of encouragement and guidance to her on how to navigate the situation effectively while some shared their experiences using the bank.

@maadanaaccssories commented:”our lawyer should do the needful, there is something called bankers order, it’s a court’s order ordering the bank to release the fund, no bank has the right to dip their hands into customer’s account without the necessary order from the court of law. So once you are armed with that it should help.”
