Super Falcons of Nigeria have defeated the Matildas of Australia in five-goal (3-2) thriller in their second game of the 2023 Women’s World Cup (WWC).
Gatekeepers News reports that the Nigerians stunned the co-host at the Suncorp Stadium, Milton, Australia, on Thursday.
Although Emily van Egmond gave the host the lead, goals from Uchenna Kanu, Osinachi Ohale and Asisat Oshoala cancelled it out in the five-goal thriller.
