Senators, on Saturday, quizzed Bosun Tijani, a ministerial nominee from Ogun state, over his Tweet wherein he tagged the lawmakers ‘morons’.
Gatekeepers News reports that when the screening of nominees started, the Senate Minority Leader, Simon Davou Mwadkwon queried Tijani on a Twitter post he made in 2021.
Tijani, in the post, wondered what checks are done by the Senate when they confirm appointees.
“…who conducted a securely check on him when he was appointed? What sort of check are done by the @NGRSenate when they confirm appointees. and the media…question for another day. Until we ask the right questions, these morons will continue to take us for granted,” he had tweeted.
Tijani thereafter apologised to the lawmakers.
