Nigerian army has reportedly arrested three high-ranking members of the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP).
Gatekeepers News reports that according to Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency publication focused on the Lake Chad region, the three commanders were accompanied by 60 other suspected ISWAP terrorists who were also captured.
This publication further revealed that around 78 Boko Haram insurgents surrendered to the troops of sector 3 Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) of operation Hadin Kai in Monguno LGA of Borno. The insurgents surrendered due to persistent raids on their hideouts.

An intelligence source cited in the report indicated that the Boko Haram Buduma factions emerged victorious in the clashes, forcing ISWAP fighters to retreat to different enclaves in Kukawa, Madayi, and Kwatan Mota.
The three apprehended commanders have been identified as Abubakar Saddiq, Abou Maimuna, and Malam Idris. These suspects are currently being held as prisoners of war at the Kwatan Mota underground prison.
